Orange que te quiero verde, that's Poeticah

The Visual Poetry of Poeticah explores the boundaries between poetry, languages, and traditional with computer visual art.

This is a poem from my chapbook Blue Mundi.

<<Blue Mundi>> Espressoism Just one more sip of that latte then this coffee bean drifts on the next note of that oldie The Beatles Sade Pink Floyd And floats on one more beat of that música internacional Shakira Juanes Thalía This bean loves to bathe in cappuccino's foam sweeten its sour thoughts with steamer's flavors hazelnut crème de menthe Mexican vanilla cradle itself in the constant warmth of espresso bar junky chatter When this bean meditates it soaks its essence into retro cool black velvet paintings of naked cinnamon divas and bullfight scenes suspended above vintage-worn sofas When dreaming its aroma saturates the modish chic high chairs shining from picture windows and post-modernist acrylics framed in plain-black worship cubist deities while reminiscing it scratches the classic elegance polished granite walls marble floors and antique oak carved in baroque sophistication realist oils framed in golden floral shapes sprinkling arabesque kisses This coffee bean flaps its wings flits from nose to nose into this ear out to that straight hair up and under that curl probes the depth in coffee eyes roams around the glitter of blue irises meanders through the folds and sways of denim and leather lost in silken rhymes scattered in the wind When expressing its apprehensions it LatteOhs away from probing gazes and hungry tongues CappuccinOhs back from thirsty nails and selfish fists EspressOhs away from the clatter of heels and soles This coffee bean continues to bask in Espresso Bar blisscapes Away from homeless hands Far from the pungency of refineries and smog blind to the crimson running from rusty barbed wire But these thoughts creep deeper ... snaking into the bean's protectionist reverie A young poet friend's ... last gasp A brother-in-law fighting for breath then ... passing ... on ... Stop let the espresso blisscape continue ... This coffee bean drinks the sky Starving for la tierra <<Blue Mundi>>
