Orange que te quiero verde, that's Poeticah

The Visual Poetry of Poeticah explores the boundaries between poetry, languages, and traditional with computer visual art.

This is a poem from my chapbook Axtlanadu.

<<Axtlanadu>> Eccentric Dust Devil To Emily Dickinson Eccentric dust devil — sucks in this air — Sips in that sun — chews in the dust High on the tips of the wind — Laps in the pollen Sniffs in the scent of — Flowers of guajillos Loco from the spirits of the sun — Careens like a drunkard Mindless of mesquites, palo verdes, yuccas — Spins through their thorns Strengthened by the power of the dirt — Feels like a tornado Wants to smell, feel, hurl — Hear every grain of sand Trapped in a narrow canyon Frustrated, dashes over letters — Dropped by hikers Forced into the creek — scatters on the water After six hundred seconds of wonder — Sprinkles its spices — Into the centuries. <<Axtlanadu>>
